<p>Maybe cut and paste is really further down their priorities. Maybe its easy to implement but they are not sure “how” to implement it.</p>
<p>Combined with the fact that iPhone SDK license apparently prevents GPS applications supporting driving directions, my own thought is maybe apple still wants to make some major enhancement to its UI (maybe a new physical button, maybe another set of widgets on its UI). Until it doesn’t make up its mind on them and introduce them (on iPhone 3.0 ?) its holding back the features so that they do not get locked into using older constructs.</p>
